Weekly Update March 3rd - 7th

Hello CSA Families and Friends,

February has come to a close, and as we all know, the rest of the school year will fly by! With that in mind, state testing is just around the corner. Our team is actively preparing, and we will be finalizing the testing schedule soon. We appreciate your support in helping students be ready for these important assessments—stay tuned for more details.

This week, six of our eighth graders will be attending the District Student Leadership Conference. This is an incredible opportunity for them to develop leadership skills, collaborate with students from across the district, and bring new ideas back to our school community. We are so proud of these students and excited for them to take part in this experience!

A huge thank you to our students and staff for their cooperation during our recent lockdown drill. These drills are a critical part of ensuring that our school remains a safe environment, and we greatly appreciate how seriously our students take them. Their attentiveness and responsible participation help us all be better prepared in case of an emergency. We also received positive feedback from both the police department and our security team, reinforcing that our school is on the right track when it comes to safety.

Looking Ahead

🏆On Wednesday, we will have our 2nd Trimester Awards Celebrations. Families of students who will be receiving awards will be receiving invitations from their teachers. We look forward to recognizing our students’ hard work and accomplishments and hope to see many of you there!

😎Raise Craze has been extended through March 10! For more information, see below.

🎪Our Spring Carnival will be Friday, March 21st. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time, so get yours now. You will not want to miss out!

As always, we appreciate your ongoing support and are looking forward to a great March!

Best regards,
Karina Costas

During this fundraiser, students ask friends and family for donations via the online Raise Craze platform while paying it forward serving others. What a great way for us to teach our students the importance of kindness and gratitude while raising much needed funds. Students will spend time serving, not selling!

We believe that uniforms can help build community. We also believe that individual style is important! For that reason, there are lots of ways that students and familes can show their school spirit at STEM. In addition to the yearly shirt exchange (see flyer below), families can purchase shirts and other swag from our School Store or directly through our vendor.

Many organizations partner with schools to give back to our community, and we’re excited to share information about these valuable collaborations. Flyers detailing these partnerships will be displayed around the school and at the PTA tent, so be sure to check them out to learn how these organizations are supporting our students and programs.
