Thanksgiving Gratitude and Upcoming Events
Hello Friends and Families,
It’s hard to believe that in just one week, we’ll be breaking for Thanksgiving! During this season of gratitude, we at CSA are finding ways to show our appreciation and spread kindness within our community. Here are some ways you can join us in these efforts:
Student Council Canned Food Drive
Our Student Council is organizing a Canned Food Drive to support the “Have a Heart” initiative for Thanksgiving. The event will take place next week (the week before Thanksgiving break) to help spread holiday cheer. Students can bring their contributions directly to their classrooms, as classes will be competing against one another.
- Winning teams in each building will receive special prizes!
- Union team: No STEM Day
- Elementary class: Pajama Day
Kindness Bingo
StuCo is also introducing Kindness Bingo, encouraging students to spread positivity throughout the school. Students can mark off a square on their Bingo card for every act of kindness they complete. This activity is designed to foster understanding and compassion, especially as the holidays can be a difficult time for some.
Westminster PD Santa Cops Program
The Westminster Police Department is spreading holiday cheer through their Santa Cops Program! Please check out the flyer below to learn how you can contribute to this wonderful initiative.
In addition to gratitude, the holidays often come with overindulgence—too much food and definitely too much screen time! To help with this, we’re hosting a special event this Wednesday at 4:00 PM: Keeping Your Family Secure in a Digital World. This session is designed to give you the tools and confidence to protect your children online. Please RSVP using the link provided here. We hope to see you there!
Finally, the CSA Talent Show is fast approaching! See the rules below and use this link to sign up. Persmission slips are due by December 9th.
Thank you for all you do to make CSA such an amazing community.
With warmth and gratitude,
Karina Costas
Principal, Colorado STEM Academy

STEMGEAR!
We believe that uniforms can help build community. We also believe that individual style is important! For that reason, there are lots of ways that students and familes can show their school spirit at STEM. In addition to the yearly shirt exchange (see flyer below), families can purchase shirts and other swag from our School Store or directly through our vendor.

Many organizations partner with schools to give back to our community, and we’re excited to share information about these valuable collaborations. Flyers detailing these partnerships will be displayed around the school and at the PTA tent, so be sure to check them out to learn how these organizations are supporting our students and programs.
