CSAWeeklyUpdate_09.27.24
Dear CSA Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
We hope this message finds you well and thriving. We have some exciting updates and important reminders to share with you this week!
First and foremost, we want to remind everyone that all Chromebook protection plans must be paid by Monday, September 30. If you opted for the Chromebook protection plan but have not yet made the payment, please be aware that the plan will not be activated. This means that, unfortunately, you will be responsible for the full cost of repair, which could be up to $220 per incident. Let's make sure we're all covered and avoid any unexpected costs!
Please keep in mind that Tuesday, October 1st is the official October Count day! This day is like a census for our schools, helping us tally up the number of students enrolled. These numbers play a big role in school funding, so it's pretty important. We'll be keeping an extra close eye on attendance from September 24th to October 8th, and yes, every single day counts! So let's make it a team effort to ensure our students are in school, ready to learn, every day on the dot.
Now, on a much more exciting note, we have our whole school field trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science coming up on Wednesday, October 2nd. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to explore and learn together outside the classroom. Be sure to pack a lunch, wear comfortable shoes, and get ready for a day full of discovery and fun!
Looking ahead, please note that next Monday (October 7th) is a teacher work day. This means there will be no school for students, giving our dedicated teachers the time they need to prepare and plan for the upcoming weeks.
To make sure you don’t miss any other important events, please check the IMPORTANT DATES section below.
We believe that staying informed helps us all succeed together. If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your attention to these matters and for being such a wonderful part of our community.
Warm regards,
Karina Costas
Principal, Colorado STEM Academy

We believe that uniforms can help build community. We also believe that individual style is important! For that reason, there are lots of ways that students and familes can show their school spirit at STEM. In addition to the yearly shirt exchange (see flyer below), families can purchase shirts and other swag from our School Store or directly through our vendor.

Many organizations partner with schools to give back to our community, and we’re excited to share information about these valuable collaborations. Flyers detailing these partnerships will be displayed around the school and at the PTA tent, so be sure to check them out to learn how these organizations are supporting our students and programs.
